Shelly Ann Kamei, JD
Shelly Ann Kamei graduated with honors from the University of San Diego School of Law and is currently pursuing a Tax LL.M. from Boston University. Licensed in both Kentucky and California, she is an active member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Kentucky Guardianship Association, and the Kentucky Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, having served on the boards of all three.
Shelly is a frequent writer and speaker on estate planning, elder law, and taxation, presenting programs for the Kentucky Bar Association, the University of Kentucky College of Law CLE program, the Legislative Research Commission, and other professional and community groups. She has also held leadership roles in numerous boards and civic organizations across Kentucky.

Brittany Cavender, JD
Brittany Ann Cavender is a graduate of the Nashville School of Law. Before becoming a licensed attorney in 2025, Brittany spent nearly two decades working in the legal field supporting attorneys in a wide range of complex legal matters.
Driven by a strong passion for advocacy, Brittany is known for her meticulous attention to detail, practical problem-solving skills, and an unwavering commitment to protect her clients’ rights. She approaches each case with empathy, integrity, and desire to help those she serves.
Brittany is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Kentucky Young Lawyers Division, the Women Lawyers Association of Jefferson County, and the Kentucky Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Outside of her legal practice, Brittany enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family, and animals.
